JOT It Down! and Boxer Boot Camps have shifted the culture of instruction school wide. By making justification our instructional focus, the teaching and learning expectations of our scholars and staff have risen. We have raised the bar, but we have also raised the floor, which is all about increasing all our scholars’ knowledge, skills, abilities and capacities. Thus, we have made strides in building a greater school of equity.
We reference our practices within the goals of our district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP):
LCAP Goal 2: Implementation of State Performance Standards - All scholars will have equitable access to rigorous, standards-aligned curricula and technology, assuring readiness for a full range of college and career options
LCAP Goal 4: Scholar Achievement in English - All scholars will gain the knowledge and skills to be college and career ready through a variety of academic opportunities and programs to support their learning.
LCAP Goal 8: Broad Course of Study - All scholars will have the opportunity to experience a range of course that support career and college readiness.
