Academic Mentoring

Dear Neuwirth Parents,

We want to take a stance and be proactive in our approach to support our students here at Neuwirth in order to ensure that all students succeed and continue to progress as young adults. As a school, we are implementing an initiative called: Academic Mentoring. Academic Mentoring is NOT tutoring but an extra support/instruction outside of the 3 hours in class for targeted students for any of the following reasons.

Students who are in danger of failing.
Students who would benefit from additional support/extra push
Students whose grades has decreased

1st/3rd Monday of the Month 3:30 - 4:30	Spanish
2nd/4th Monday of the Month 3:30 - 4:30	Resource
1st/3rd Tuesday of the Month 3:30 - 4:30	Mathematics
2nd/4th Tuesday of the Month 3:30 - 4:30	English
1st/3rd Thursday of the Month 3:30 - 4:30	History
2nd/4th Thursday of the Month 3:30 - 4:30	Science

If your son/daughter is identified as a student who would benefit from Academic Mentoring they will be notified the week of October 31 via a parent letter.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact his/her individual teachers by email or my making a parent conference with the office or reach out to your son/daughter’s grade level administrator. Also, if you would like to know if your son/daughter is on any teacher’s Academic Mentoring list, please contact the office and they will be able to let you know.

Queremos tomar una postura y ser proactivos en nuestro enfoque para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes en Neuwirth con el fin de asegurar que todos los estudiantes tengan éxito y continúen progresando como adultos jóvenes. Segundo y Cuarto Jueves del Mes 3:30 - 4:30	Ciencia

Si su hijo / hija es identificado como un estudiante que se beneficiaría de la Mentoría Académica, será notificado a la semana del 31 de octubre a través de una carta de los padres.

Si tiene alguna pregunta, no dude en ponerse en contacto con sus profesores individuales por correo electrónico o hacer una conferencia de padres en la oficina o llame a su administrador de nivel de grado de su hijo/hija.. Además, si desea saber si su hijo / hija está en la lista de mentores académicos de cualquier maestro, comuníquese con la oficina y ellos le harán saber.
